Session Data Explained
We’ve integrated decades of research, clinical experience, and wisdom into our algorithms and AI so that Sens.ai can read and adapt to your brainwaves in real-time. This is how Sens.ai takes meaningful data and humanizes it for you without losing the essential aspects. Our scoring system provides insightful and practical neuroscience-based data so you can track your progress over time.
You will receive data results after every session. This will become easier to understand with more use of the app. We measure for things such as time in Flow, Streak, Recovery, Coherence, and HRV. You will also receive a Session Trend graph that correlates with your experience throughout the given session. More data unlocks the more you train.


Train Program Session Data
You’ll see this results dashboard after completing a Train session such as Focus.
Session Trend
Session Trend maps your brainwave power and synchrony, streaks, and distractions over time. Use this to reflect on your felt experience. Comparison between sessions is currently best done using Streak.
Flow Metrics
Flow: The total time you were able to say in the targeted training zone.
Streak: Your longest time spent in the target state during a session.
Recovery: Your average time to recover after exiting the target state.
Heart Metrics
Heart Rate: Heart Rate tracks your average heart rate during the session. This is recorded in beats per minute.
Coherence: Heart Coherence is indicative of brain-heart connectivity.
HRV: Heart Rate Variability is a measure of the normally occurring beat-to-beat changes in heart rate. A higher HRV correlates with a resilient autonomic nervous system.
Synchrony Metrics
Resilium, Transcendium or Cognizium Synchrony: indicates the brainwaves in the front and back of your head are coherent (in relationship) and in phase (peak and valleys of the waveform happening at the same time.)
Boost Program Session Data
You’ll see this results dashboard in the app after completing a Boost session.
Boost Metrics
Ending Boost Frequency: Boost uses transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM). Our headset is able to vary that frequency of light pulses from 1 to 1024 cycles/second. Sens.ai is unique in its ability to shift those frequencies throughout your session based on reading your brainwave response. We share the "Ending Boost Frequency" which is the speed of light flashes at the end of your personalized Boost session.

Thinking Speed Metrics
Perception: Perception indicates how quickly your brain notices a change in your environment. Your brain is subconsciously shifting its attention to the change.
Classification: Classification measures the time it takes your brain to identify a perceived change in your environment. Your brain is answering the question "what is it?".
Processing: Processing Speed measures your overall speed of thinking. Your brain is answering the question "what do I do about it?".
Physical Reaction Time Metrics
Reaction Time: Reaction time measures how quickly you physically press the button.
Distracted Reaction Time: Distracted reaction time measures how quickly you press the button while being distracted with conflicting information.
Accuracy Metrics
Accuracy: Overall accuracy is your percentage of correct responses - correctly pressing buttons and withholding button presses.
Distracted Accuracy: Indicates your accuracy while being distracted with conflicting information.
Streak: Streak is your highest number of correct responses in a row.
Self Regulation Metrics
Error Perception: Error perception indicates how quickly your brain perceives a mistake. Your brain is subconsciously shifting its attention to the error.
Error Awareness: Error awareness indicates how quickly you internalize that you made a mistake.
Post Error Correction: Post error correction measures your ability to slow down and make adjustments after a mistake, There is a sweet spot. If you slow down too much, your reaction time will suffer. If you don't slow down enough, your accuracy will suffer.
